Wonderful Scenery of Colurful Sea at Koh Lipe, Satun

Hi friends,

Today i'm gonna tell you about my latest trip to Koh Lipe in Satun province. Satun is the province in the southern region of Thailand as Satun has many fantastic island for travellers to discover including Koh Tarutal and Koh Lipe.

In order to visit Koh Lipe, you must hire for the speed boad at Pak Bara Pier in Satun but please remember that the speed boat will depart from Pak Bara Pier to Koh Lipe at 11.30 and 13.30 daily.

The distance from Satun to Ko Lipe is approximately 2 hours and then, you will arrive at “Pattaya Beach” which is deemed to be the capital of this island. At this point, you will be transfer to the long tail boat or the taxi boat which will take you to any beach in this island at the same price of 50 baht per person. For me, i booked the hotel named “Mountain Resort”situated at the sunset beach which is only 10 minutes from Pattaya Beach

When i arrived at Mountain Resort, i really love it and think that "This Place is really Great"because of its own privacy fantastic seaside together with incredible colorful sea generating wonderful scenery (as you can see from the image). At present (December 2010), the rate for VIP room is 2,200 baht per night and 1600 baht for general room which, in my opinion, is really cheap if compared to other resorts and hotels. As mentioned its name, Mountain Resort situated in the hill where you can discover dramatic scenery of colorful sea from your room, furthermore, this resort is located in the hill, so, it will be safe for the risk of disaster Tsunami Wave as well.

After checking in, i'm enjoy swimming in the emerald sea at the private beach of this hotels which make me feel really comfortable and relax.

The City of Delicious Food Trang, Thailand

Hi friends,

Haven't post for a long time as this month is the holiday season and i just come back from my trip to "Trang" province. Generally, this province is also famous in its beautiful island like Koh Muk, Emerald Cave, Koh Ma for instance. However, one thing that you can't miss when you visiting Trang is its delicious food and beverage. Today i'm gonna tell you about the most favorite food of Trang that you can't miss when visiting this province.

1. Dim sum
Due to the ancestor of Trang civilian mostly migrate from China, therefore, you can taste delicious "Dim Sum" everywhere in the city center and the price is really cheap if compared to Dim Sum in Bangkok. If you order "Dim sum", some local famous restaurants will serve you the full set of Dim Sum as the price will be calculated concerning on how many pieces of Dim Sum that you ate. After tasting Trang's Dim Sum, i think its taste is very delicious and what i like is you can eat various dishes of Dim Sum and pay only what you eat, however, please note that Dim Sum in Trang will only be served in the morning.

2. Trang Grill Pork
Trang Grill Pork is one of the most favorite food in Trang and some people also said that "if you come to Trang and you haven't taste the Grill Pork, it means that you have never come to this province." So, i have to taste for the delicious Grill Pork. Like Dim Sum, the Grill Pork can easily find everywhere in this province especially in the city center where you can find famous Grill Pork restaurant. The restaurant that i've visited named "Trang Grill Pork", you can taste for tasty Grill Pork and Dim Sum in this restaurant. Of course, i ordered both Grill Pork and Dim Sum. As i mentioned earlier, Dim Sum served with full set and i ordered small dish of Grill Pork as it served without any source. After tasting, i think Trang famous menu is different from other region in Thailand as you can enjoy eating it without requiring any sources.

I really enjoy eating in Trang province and if i stay in this province for more than 1 week, i will surely get fat.

Note
Price for Trang Grill Pork in most local restaurant are as follows
-Small Dish 50 Baht
-Medium Dish 100 Baht
-Large Dish 150-200 Baht
-1 Kilogram for 360-380 Baht

Thank you for interesting my posy. See you on my next post.

Fantastic viewpoint from the Top of Koh NangYuan

Hello Everybody,

Back to post again. As i promised, today i'm gonna bring all of you to the viewpoint of Koh Nang Yaun. After i finished my scuba diving at the seaside of Koh NangYuan, my next destination is to see sunset at the beautiful viewpoint of this island as image appeared in many favorite travel magazines. The time is around 17.00 in the evening which is perfect time to start walking to the top of Ko Nang Yaun as we may arrive at the top of mountain before 18.00 in order to see scenery of sunset.

The pathway to the viewpoint of this island is very convenience for travellers and you will see the scenery of gorgeous blue sea along the way to the hill. After taking some images of beautiful seaside scenery, the time is around 17.15 and now i arrived at the starting point to walk to the top of Koh NangYuan. Travel magazines and resort staffs said that it will take around 30-40 minutes to walk to the viewpoint.

As you see from the image, the way to the viewpoint of this island look easily for walking. In my experience, it is easy for the first 10 minutes after that the pathway rise precipitously. Of course, i feel really tried and my body is covering with sweat but i can't stop and have to reach to the summit point. Then, the hardest part is over and i arrived at the outstanding viewpoint of Koh NangYuan after 40 minutes of trekking the mountain.

The scenery at the viewpoint is very beautiful and attractive more than my imagination. In my opinion, the scenery that i have seen by myself is more attractive and gorgeous than i have seen in the travel magazine or television. This place is like heaven on earth and i recommend that if you have a chance to visit Koh NangYuan, the place that you can't be miss is the viewpoint of this island which i can guarantee that this place is one of the most beautiful natural scenery in Thailand.

At last, i want to share some image that i have taken from the viewpoint of this island to all of you but as i told you earlier, the real scenery is more attractive than my images below, then, you may list Nangyuan island to your holiday vacation now and you will know the meaning of real relaxation.

Destination for Your Winter Holiday "Doi Ang Klang, Chaing Mai"

Hello Everybody,

Now it is October and winter holiday season are coming. Of course, the top destination for travellers in winter season is Chaing Mai which is the most famous city in the northern region of Thailand. Generally, Chaing Mai has many interesting places for travellers including mountain, historical site and shopping center.

Today, i'm gonna talk about one of the most famous mountain in Chaing Mai named "Doi Ang Klang". This mountain situatated in Fang district, northern district near Myanmar border, around 137 kilometers from the city center of Chaing Mai. Doi Ang Klang is not only famous in its beautiful mountain scenery but also outstanding in its tough and slant road which is the one of the great lesson for drivers to test. After driving to the camping site, i can feel the cold weather like the feeling when i visited European country at Doi Ang Klang camping site. At the top of the mountain, there're 2-3 sites available for camping. At the camping site, you will see the scenery of beautiful hill together with the view of devious road (look like a snake). Of course, most travellers are now waiting to see the scenenery of the beautiful sunset which is very fascinating for me.

The next morning, i plan to visit other outstanding site of Doi Ang Klang that you can't miss which called "Royal Agricultural Station AngKlang".At this station, you will have a chance to see flowers and plants that usually grow in cold weather countries like tulip, maple and many more. Moreover, fruits in cold weather countries like kiwi can also be found here and you can taste it with very cheap price.

In my opinion, Doi Ang Klang is amazing place for travellers but my recommendation is it will be better for you to hire for local drivers to bring you to the top of this mountain because the road to the top of Doi Ang Klang is very danger for rookie drivers.

Thank for reading my post. See You Then!

Koh Chang famous seafood restuarant with terrible service

Last time, i have post the story about "Jai Eiw" one of famous seafood restaurant in Koh Chang, Thailand. Now, i would like to tell the story about another famous seafood restaurant in Koh Chang which situated in the area named "Salak Phet" as i will not tell you about the name of this restaurant because this post is all about compliant!

Salak Phet is the name of the area situated far away from white sand beach which is deemed to be the capital of Koh Chang. I have read in the travel magazine recommeded me that there is famous seafood restaurant situated in this area and when you go to koh chang, you can't miss this restaurant. Of course, as same as many customers, i also want to experience the taste of famous seafood restuarant as well, then, i started driving from white sand beach to Salak Phet as it took about 1 hour to arrive at this restaurant. After reading menu, the price for seafood is reasonable if compared to other restaurant in Koh Chang  and i ordered 4 disks of seafood.

The time is around 14.00, there're approximated 20-30 customers visiting this restaurant. I waited for the food around 15 minutes, then, the first dish which is grilled squid has been served as it is delicious as the travel magazine recommend and i think that other dishes should be great like the grilled squid. I wait for the second dish to serve arounf 20 minutes but nothing happen, therefore, i called the waiters as sometime they may forget to write down my order and they tell me to be patience. I patiently waited for another 15 minutes but the second dishes still not ready to serve and i indicated that the waiters only served for the big group of customers sitting nearby.

In the next 15 minute, i'm started to feel angry as i think that this bad koh chang restaurant ignored us because we are just a little group of customer (3 person) as they will not gain more money form us, at this time, i called the waiter for the Bill as i don't care about other dishes of seafood that i ordered. Surprisingly, after i called for the bill, this time the second and the next dishes can be served after waiting around 1 hour as i don't know that the taste of the second and third dishes are good or bad because i'm hungry and in the bad mood for now.

The story in not end yet, after finishing my lunch in this koh chang restaurant, now i called the waiter for the bill. Again, the waiter let me wait for the bill about 10 minute as i recalled the waiter to receive my money a couple of time (Please Receive my Money) but as usual for this restaurant, nothing happen and all waiters ignored us. As the result, i break down and loudly shout to all waiters and customers that "If you're not come to collect my money now, i will walk away without paying".

At last, i would like to say that i this famous koh chang restaurant in Salak Phet area is excellent in its seafood taste, however, the service of this restaurant is one of the bad service that i've ever experience. The question is will you try the restaurant with awful service.

Fantastic Trip at Koh Nang Yuan Part 2

Hi Everyone,

Today, i will continue telling you about my fantastic trip at Koh Nang Yuan.

After i checked in to my room at the minor island of Koh Nang Yuan, i wait until the rain stop falling and plan to discover the beautiful seaside of Koh Nang Yuan. Now the time is about 13.30 in the afternoon and the rain is stop falling, then, i walk along the beach of this island and took some images by my Sony Dsc Wx1. You may look for some images of this beautiful Thailand island belowed.

Panorama images of Koh Nang Yuan taken by Sony DSC Wx1

As you may indicated from this image ,  the island at the right side of image is Koh Tao, one of the most favorite island for scuba diver. At first, we plan to take one day trip to Koh Tao and come back to Koh Nang Yuan in the evening, however, we don't have enough time and must change our plan due to the heavy rain today. As i indicated, many travellers come to visit Koh Nang Yuan but most of them choose to stay in Koh Tao because of its various resort and restuarant available. OH i almost forgot, one thing that you should know is Kao Nang Yuan will be close around 18.00, therefore, if you not booked your room with Nang Yuan Diver Resort, you must leave this island before 18.00.

In this island, fin (one of scuba diver accessories) is prohibited as you must leave it to the officer before you access the island, however, scuba diver accessories except fin is available for rent at the rate of 100 baht per day. Generally, Coral in this island is okay but not so beautiful if compared to Koh Tao as Koh Nan Yuan is not outstanding in its coral but it has an fantastic white clean sand and its world class colorful sea water as many travel magazine recommended.

I feel really relax and happy with the attractive white sand beach and colorful sea water of this island as i stay at the seaside until 17.00. At this time, i oberved that most vistors are leaving Koh Nang Yuan and it make me feel like i'm the owner of this island as tht atmosphere after 17.00 is very calm and privacy for me. The next plan for our trip is to witness the attractive viewpoint of this island as appeared in the cover of many favorite travel magazine.

Thank you for reading my post. Next time i will promise to bring you to the beautiful viewpoint of Koh Nang Yuan. See You Then!

Fantastic Trip at Koh Nang Yuan "Worldclass Beautiful Privacy Island"

Hi Everybody,

Today i'm going express on my impression about my fantastic trip at Koh Nang Yuan.

Koh Nang Yuan is situated between Chumporn and Surat Thani province as it known as one of the most beautiful island in Thailand. The image of Koh Nang Yuan viewpoint is popular worldwide as it usually appears in many travel magazine.

I booked the package to Koh Nang Yuan with LomPraYah tour as the package price including bus ticket from Bangkok to Chumporn province and also high speed catamaran ferry to Koh Nang Yuan as you may select at your own choice to go to Koh Tao, Koh Nang Yuan, Koh Samui or Koh Phangan but the package price will be varied according to the distance.  My trip started at Kao San Road one of the most interesting spot for travellers in Bangkok as the bus departed from Bangkok around 21.00 and arrived at Chumporn province around 4.30. After arrived at Chumporn, i wait until catamaran boat arrived at 7.00 and the boat departed at 7.30.

Unfortunately, the storm has just arrived to Bay of Thailand today, therefore, many customers got "Sea Sick" symptom and all passenger room covering with the smell of vermit. The catamaran arrived at Koh Nang Yuan around 9.30 as the island still cover with heavy rain which i have to wait at the only restaurant in Koh Nang Yuan until the rain stop falling because the accomodation in Koh Nang Yuan is situated separately from its main island where the restuarant and all facilities available.

Koh Nang Yuan accommodations image taken by Sony Dsc-Wx1

After the rain stop falling, i walked along the beach which connected three separate island of Koh Nang Yuan together. My room situated in the mountain as it is hardly to see beautiful sea view at my room because i have booked the room with cheaper price than other room that you can see beautiful sea view. The rate for my room is 1600 baht per night (this price is only applicable for low season) including air conditioner and hot water also other simple facilities and the most expensive room which is family extra suite as you can see the most beautiful sea view in Koh Nang Yuan is approximately 11,300 baht (price applicable for low season).
Image of  sea view in front of my rooms taken by Sony DSC-Wx1

If you want to stay in Koh Nang Yuan, you have no choice to choose for other hotels because Koh Nang Yuan is private island and the only accommodation here in Koh Nang Yuan Diver Resort. I have to take breakfast, lunch and dinner at the same restaurant. Therefore, many travellers choose to stay in Koh Tao siutated near Koh Nang Yuan which they may find more hotels and accommodations and more facilities available for them.

The story of my trip to Koh Nang Yuan is not end yet. I will continue telling this story on my next post.

Thank you for reading my blog. See you then!

Fantastic Dolphin Show at Oasis Sea World Chathaburi

Chanthaburi is the province situated in the eastern seaside of Thailand. Generally, Chanthaburi is not popular city for the travellers to visit  because travellers top destination in the eastern side of Thailand are Pattaya and Koh Chang. However, Chanthaburi also have many beautiful seaside like laem sing beach but the beach in Jantaburi seemed to be second to Pattaya and Koh Chang if compared that is the reason why this province is not popular to the travellers.

However, the interesting spot that you must see in Chanthaburi that you can't miss and you can't find anywhere in Thailand is "The dolphins Show at the Oasis Sea World". Oasis Sea World has been founded about 20 years ago as this place specialized in the dolphins show for a long period of time. All show and activities here are related to the dolphins as you can also swim with cute and clever dolphins if you like and the ticket price is really cheap if compared to other dolphins show around the world, let see the price to see the show and swim with the dolphins;

-To see the dolphins show 90 baht for adult and 50 baht for children (however foreigner must paid for 180 baht)
-To swim with the dolphin, Oasis Sea World charge the same price of 400 baht for all customers.
-Show time is approxiemately 40 minutes started at 9.00, 11.00, 13.00, 15.00 and 17.00

In my opinion, the show is fantastic and the dolphins are really cute and clever as they can do anything that the trainers ask them to do like dancing, kick the ball etc., however, the most fantastic show of the dolphins and the trainers is the one that you will see from video clip below.

I recommend that if you plan to go to koh chang, you should visit Chanthaburi first and don't miss the fanstastic dolphins show at Oasis Sea World. TRUST ME!

Part of any trip or wedding will include eating and a guide to finding the top restaurant in Phuket is something that may be of interest regardless of the reason why you may be travelling there.

One thing to look for is ambience. A top restaurant in Phuket is one that will have great scenery and will allow you to eat outside. If you want to have a wedding, Phuket has spectacular scenery that you can take advantage of for your ceremony and your reception. Look for facilities that have modern styling that can allow you to eat inside or out. By picking the right restaurant in Phuket it becomes much easier for you to plan a memorable ceremony and reception that looks stunning as well as one which offers good food as well.

Another tip to finding the top restaurant in Phuket is to find out who is cooking there. The style of the food which is served at a restaurant in Phuket may make or break your experience. There is good news for anyone planning a wedding; Phuket restaurants and venues will often be quite willing to work with you in order to create a custom food or drink menu for your guests. By checking out what is already being offered at a restaurant in Phuket means that you will often be able to get a feel for the style of the place before booking it for an event or even making dinner reservations.

There is more to a wedding, Phuket than just the food, although that does play a huge role in the success or failure of your event. By making sure that the venue that you are working with will accommodate any wedding related needs that you have you will be able to make sure that your wedding, Phuket is still a personal and emotional event for you and your family members. Whether it is a small anintimate gathering or a larger, more formal wedding Phuket has many locations and venues that are perfect for both ceremonies and receptions.

One of the things which make your chances of finding a great restaurant in Phuket so good is the fact that so many cultures have met and melded in this area. The climate is popular with many travelers and many of them have stayed on to add their own feel and flavor to the area’s collection of bars, resorts, hotels and restaurants. Unlike some areas where it can be difficult to find anything other than local cuisine and atmosphere, Phuket is both very modern and extremely traditional. The blend makes for an amazing experience as many people who have been to the area can attest to.

By looking online on websites that you can relate to, you will stand a much better chance of finding the right style of restaurant or facility that can meet your needs. If you are a student and are traveling on a budget, you will likely be looking for qualities that may be very different than someone who is planning a wedding. By keeping this in mind, you will have a better chance of getting the food and experience you have been looking for.

Hau Hin new interesting spot "Plearnwan"

Hello Everyone, have you ever seen the movie "Back to the Future"? If the answer is "Yes", today, I will bring you back to the good old day of Hau Hin.

This year 2010, hau hin has celebrated its 100 birthday anniversary of becoming one of Thailand popular seaside city. Nowaday, Hau hin has known as the city that never sleep like Phuket and Pattaya as there are many department stores, walking street for shopping, luxury and local restuarant for visitors to enjoy all day and all night. Also, there're many seaside concert events take place at the hau hin beach like Jazz festival.
However, about 30 years ago, hau hin has known as calm and quite seaside city with its clean and beautiful beach which generated romantic emotion to travellers. For the year 2010, it is good news for travllers who want to travel back to feel romantic emotion of the good old day of hau hin because now you may travel back to the old day of hau hin at the new intersting spot of which called "Plearnwan".

Plearnwan is the place that make you feel like travel back to the past via time machine to scence the emotion of Hau Hin good old day. It situated near the King Palace (if you used GPS version 2009 or more updated version, GPS will tell you the right spot) as you can visit Plearnwan for free but you have to pay for parking lot (price is around 30-60 baht). First think that i noticed is most travellers bring their own expensive DSLR camera to find great location and the age of most travellers should be around 18-30 years old as most of visitors are Beautiful and Cute Young Girls! (Trust Me) which make Plearnwan, Hau Hin more attractive.

Okay let get back to the place, as i have accessed to Plearnwan i feel that the place is okay for photographers because you can find many locations to take beautiful and artistic photograph, however, the food and beverage in Plearnwan is quite expensive and its taste is not so good. Like other traveller, i feel happy to visit place like Plearnwan in Hau Hin and also take some images with my Sony Dsc-Wx1 as well. I recommend that you will be more fun and happy if you visit Plearnwan at night because the weather in Hau Hin is very hot as it will make you unhappy for your trip.

In my opinion, Plearnwan is new interesting spot in Hau Hin that you shouldn't miss but keep in mind that food and beverage is expensive and bad taste. Therfore, if you wish to have lunch or dinner, you should find other reatuarant in Hau Hin as there are many good restaurant available for you.

Koh Chang at White Sand Beach Part 2

Hello Everybody,

Let continue my trip at Koh Chang.

I woke up around 8 in the morning at KC Grand Hotel Koh Chang and i feel really hungry, so i have to go to the hotel restaurant at the white sand beach to enjoy my breakfast. Like other hotels, the breakfast here is american breakfast style and also boiled rice and fried rice as its taste is okay but if compare to other hotels in koh chang, it still need some improvement. KC Grand Hotel is the first hotel that you will find when you arrived at white sand beach, therefore, the beach in front of this hotel is clean covering with white sand and blue sea water. In my opinion, the view point in front of KC Grand hotel is one of the most beautiful seaside in koh chang as you may see from image below.

After breakfast, i walked along the seaside and take some beautiful picture of white sand beach from my new compact camera "Sony dsc-wx1", this camera incorporated with cool function like sweep panorama as you see from image above and iAuto which is outstanding function for this camera.

Okay, let come back to White Sand Beach Koh Chang, after 45 minutes of walking along the beach, then i came back to my hotel and looking for the hotel's facilities, there are many facilities like fitness and spa available for you but the facility that i like most for this hotel is its swimming pool. If compare with other hotels in koh chang, KC Grand's swimming pool is not so huge, however, the pool situated along the beach which generated great seaside viewpoint and in children swimming pool also has turtle slider which my daughter really enjoy to play it and for adult, there are many Jacuzzi available for you as well.

In my opinion, KC Grand Koh chang hotel is over the average for me as i preferred its room with big single bed, swimming pool and its great seaview which i can recommend to all of you, but, the breakfast still need little improvement.

Thank for reading see you in my next post.

Koh Chang at White Sand Beach Part1

White sand beach koh chang, Thailand image taken by sony dsc-wx1

Hello Everyone,

Havn't post for a long time since 2008. Now i'm back to blogger again. Today I would like to express my impression to one of my favorite beach in KOH CHANG, Thailand which is called "White Sand beach". As i remembered, i have posted my story about Koh Chang long time ago. But this time, i will tell you my lastest trip at Koh chang Thailand on May 2010.

I started my journey from Bangkok departed around 9.00 and arrived at Koh Chang around 19.00 as it take around 9 hours from Bangkok to Koh Change. Generally, you need only 4 or 4.5 hours to get yourself from Bangkok to Koh Chang. However, on late May 2010, i faced heavy rain along way to Koh Chang and there're many travlers waiting for ferry at the ferry port (most of them are Thais).

After arrived at Koh Chang, i drived my Honda CRV directly to my hotel named "KC Grand Hotel" situated at White Sand Beach. I recommended you that you should book KC Grand Hotel via http://www.agoda.com/ website because this site offered you huge discount more than you can imagine. This hotel is okay for me and my family as the hotel decorated with beautiful antique furniture but what i like for this hotel is its really huge single bed as you may see below.

As i arrived at Koh Chang quite late this time, my first day of journey must be overed. Before i rest, i have to find some delicious cheap sea food to eat and i come to one of favorite sea food local restuarant in Koh Chang called "Jei Aew"(sorry if i miss spelling). There're many travelers (almost 90% are Thais) came to this local sea food restuarant as there are no seat available, you have to wait for you turn. I recommend that if you want to try "Jei Aew", you should come after 21.00 as you may find some seat available for you. In my opinion, Jei Aew is one of the most delicious retuarant in Koh Chang and the price is reasonable. Of course, if you are Western travelers, the sea food price for this restuarant is reall cheap for you.

I have to end my first day journey now. Thank for reading my post. See you on my next post. Bye
